Dropping You All a Line Just to Say "Hi" - April Showers Bring May Flowers - Get Ready for A Fun-Filled Dunn County Summer!
Hi there to all my Dunn County neighbors! Thought I would drop you all a nice friendly “Hello” as we wrap up this snowy, rainy, sunny April that we experienced. I must say it was a jekyll and hyde of sorts weather wise in Dunn County. And it is my hope we can drop the snow out of our May forecast and focus on sunshine and rain for the merry merry month of May. And we need plenty of sun and rain for our gardens and flower beds. And thinking of gardens and flowers, how are you all coming along with your vegetable garden plans and/or flower dream garden plans? Love to hear from you all of your great creative ideas and plans of making your frontyard or backyard or patio or deck or balcony a garden bonanza! I am actually excited to witness 3 sprouts of tomato plants peeking out of the soil in my egg cartons garden. What a way to end the month of April! And it is also fun watching the rain we received on the last day of April turning our grass to a gorgeous green and sprouts coming up in my flower beds for the May bloom🌷 As they say, “April Showers Bring May Flowers”💐
Summer is right around the corner which means time to get ready for a fun-filled Dunn County Summer!! How about a great event to start things off with Mabel's Community Celebration which kicks into gear on May 21st from 2 pm to 10:30 pm at no other than the Mabel Tainter Theater on Main St. in downtown Menomonie. All sorts of fun to check out with artist vendors, six different food trucks to satisfy your palete, Taiko Midwest Drumming which starts at 4 pm and the Chippewa Valley Irish Dance(these Irish Dancers ROCK) starts at 5 pm in which both performances will be interactive for children.
