Hey! Time for Some Summer Fun in Dunn!
Did Someone say "It's SUMMER?" The FUN Edition of What's Up Dunn County?
It is May and we have experienced some pretty awesome 80 plus degrees kind of weather along with some thunderstorms to add to the mix. I start to get giddy when the heat rises to 80 degrees which means Summer is upon us! When I think of Summer, I think of grilling out on the patio. Going camping in a tent lying underneath the stars. Standing on the lakeshore to cast a fishing line. Catching some flowers in bloom while on my Sunday drive along the countryside. Watching the 4th of July fireworks over Lake Menomin. Eating fair food at the Dunn County Fair. Checking out the Farmer’s Market at Wilson Park. Observing some vintage baseball at Phalen Park. Picking strawberries at Red Cedar Valley Farms. And lots of weeding in the garden : / I am not sure if weeding is exactly fun, but it is a common summer time chore which is one way to catch some summer sun. There will be some firsts this coming summer for me. I will be checking out Paint this Town on Saturday, July 19th at Wilson Park along with Pickle Fest in Boyceville. And guess what is coming back to Menomonie? Fourth of July Celebration at Wakanda Park 2025 (Freedom Fest)!
So right now could be a good time to get out your calendar or planner to make some room in your summer schedule to experience some summer fun in Dunn County : )
Let the good times roll! Shall we………
