Hey! How are My Dunn County Neighbors in Such a Time as This?
The Invasion of Illegal Aliens at our borders could impact neighboring counties within a 100 mile radius of Eau Claire that could cripple the counties infrastructure and burden taxpayers.

It is with great concern with the invasion of our southern borders which is bringing many unvetted illegals into our country, many which are of young fighting age males from various countries. Not only in our southern borders but our northern borders as well are being infiltrated with illegal unvetted aliens. With the escalation of war in the Middle East between Hamas and Israel seems to heighten the inevitable of a terrorist attack on U.S. soil, for hundreds are already here! With that being said, my alarm goes off when reading about World Relief in which is a VOLAG (Voluntary Refugee Reception Agency) that has set up an office in Eau Claire, who are a resettlement agency to help settle refugees (Illegal Aliens) into the area with initial funding and benefits by the federal government. Once settled the agency will help them find employment. The kicker is that after 90 days the refugees are then the responsibility of the local community that comprise of non-profit organizations, churches and the taxpayers. AND the local government will end up being overwhelmed through the subsidizing of housing, medical expenses, literacy education and services administered by DHHS. It is bad enough the Federal government uses the taxpayers hard earn money to compensate the VOLAG’s but also us, local residents will be paying for the care of the refugees (Illegal Aliens) through our property taxes. This could lead to a possible property tax increase of up to 20%!!! And sadly, burdening homeowners that could lead to losing their homes.
Look at New York City. Back in October 2022 they declared a state of emergency due to the flooding of Illegal Aliens being bussed from the southern border. And remember, they declared themselves a sanctuary city with open arms to all refugees. Well, they sure changed their tune when the city’s infrastructure is feeling exceedingly overwhelmed. Here is an insert from “The Texas Tribune” on October 7th, 2022 of the toll and financial resources New York City is being crushed with. “Adams called for various city agencies to create and run temporary humanitarian relief centers that will house and help arriving asylum-seekers. He further called for emergency federal and state relief as the city expects projected costs of more than $1 billion related to the migrants this year alone.” And it even cost Governor Abbott’s state of Texas “$14 million sending more than 10,000 migrants to cities including Washington, D.C., New York and Chicago — self-proclaimed sanctuary cities” (The Texas Tribune-Oct 7th 2022). That is the consequences of having wide open borders. And yes, even the Mayor of Washington D.C., Muriel Bowser declared a public health emergency as well due to the influx of illegal immigrants.
The above mentioned cities has a little more deeper pockets than the smaller towns like Eau Claire, Menomonie or Hudson. And these bigger cities are feeling like they are on the verge of collapse. So just imagine how it could effect Dunn, Chippewa, Eau Claire, St. Croix, Barron, Polk, Sawyer and Rusk counties. World Relief is planning to resettle 75 refugees within a 100 mile radius of Eau Claire in 2024. Seventy-Five does not sound like a really big number, right? We can handle that! Well, what is concerning to me is, if World Relief has established an office in Eau Claire, this will mean even more refugees (Illegal Aliens) of who knows how many will be resettled in Western and Northwestern Wisconsin.
I found some interesting facts from fairus.org as follows:
Limited English Proficiency (LEP) students cost taxpayers approximately $60 billion annually.
According to a 2018 Center for Immigration Studies analysis, in 2014, 63 percent of households headed by a non-citizen reported that they used at least one welfare program, compared to 35 percent of native-headed households.
In addition, compared to native households, non-citizen households have much higher use of food programs (45 percent vs. 21 percent for natives) and Medicaid (50 percent vs. 23 percent for natives).
There are currently an estimated 4.8 million American-born children of illegal aliens in the U.S. Because of our erroneous interpretation of the Fourteenth Amendment, they all received automatic birthright U.S. citizenship.
Mass immigration is not a panacea to save Social Security. Because of “chain migration,” immigrants can sponsor numerous relatives, some of whom are already elderly. In addition, immigrants grow older just like Americans do. Rather than rejuvenating our workforce, mass immigration and “chain migration” are more likely to further overburden the system.
Along with the impact of essential services such as:
Illegal immigration is a fiscal burden on taxpayers. Mass immigration jams schools, hospitals and highways. The education of the children of illegal immigrants costs taxpayers millions of dollars annually. Emergency medical expenditures and incarceration costs of illegal aliens add up too.
In addition, taxpayers must bear the full costs of the administration of justice, e.g., policing, processing, trials, interpreters, medical expenses and other incarceration costs.
Welfare benefits paid to the children of illegal aliens and other services such as assisted housing add a further burden on public outlays.
Yet another societal impact from illegal immigration is in crowded housing, and related problems of safety, hygiene, and issues that impact on property values.
Ultimately, illegal immigration generates insecurity about America’s borders, carries economic and fiscal costs, and risks the creation of an isolated underclass, and generates disturbing social and cultural tensions.
Yes, I am sure there are a lot of refugees (Illegal Aliens) that are truly good people who deserve compassion and loving kindness. The big picture is when you have more than 7 million illegal aliens coming in mass droves into our interior, it overwhelms our infrastructure and our capacity to serve all that come in. That is why we use to have policies in place to come into our country legally so they can have an enjoyable journey toward citizenship. Instead, they are at high risk of being victims of horrible physical, emotional and mental harm especially at the southern border where the Mexican cartels have become a threat to both illegals and Americans.
According to the Office of Attorney General of Florida, Ashley Moody at https://www.myfloridalegal.com/newsrelease/ag-moody-leads-multistate-coalition-taking-action-force-biden-administration-secure on October 10th, 2023 stated, “The Biden administration must secure our border to protect our national security. The Biden administration has let more than 7 million illegal immigrants across the U.S. border—including more than 1.5 million gotaways and 264 suspected terrorists. Given the massive flood of unvetted migrants into the interior of our country, there is no way to know who is in the U.S. or if they plan to enact terror on Americans. Given the risks illustrated by what happened this weekend in Israel, I am leading a coalition of 27 attorneys general taking action to force the Biden administration to enact responsible rulemaking to ensure our nation’s security at our Southern Border.”
So not only is it a financial burden to our communities but also of the 264 suspected terrorists in our interior becomes a threat to our communities of being in danger of physical harm. The urgency to protect our communities from devastation from the invasion of illegal aliens is real. Very real. Please contact your county boards, city councils and state legislatures and your county sheriff where you reside of bringing an awareness about World Relief which established an office in Eau Claire to start the process of helping refugees (Illegal Aliens) with resettlement within a 100 mile radius and helping them find employment. It sounds humbling and of good will. And it is! But with so many unvetted refugees (Illegal Aliens) being dispersed throughout the country we need discernment, hugely!
Here is a powerful scripture from Isaiah 1:7; “Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers”.
